AfriHeritage Welcome New Staff Members

In its tenacious resolve to build a world-class think-tank fully committed to the promotion of evidence-based policy making in socio-political governance through public institutions and organs of government, The African Heritage Institution (AfriHeritage) is continuously looking out for talents who are amenable, desirous of growth and fairly understand the dynamics of a developing country and region like Nigeria and African, within the context of the global social, economic and political scheme. On that note, we are happy to welcome the following professionals who joined AfriHeritage workforce in the last quarter.

 

Obianuju Eloji

Obianuju joined AfriHeritage as communications officer. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from the University of Nigeria Enugu and a Master’s degree in Financial Decision Analysis from the University of Portsmouth, England. She has worked in various capacities in private and public institutions, and also took part in some World Bank and USAID-funded projects. She is a member and facilitator at Institute of Humanitarian Studies and Social Development, Abuja, Nigeria.

 

Chinonso Ihuoma

Miss Ihuoma joined the Institution as a research assistant. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and International Studies from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (2014), and a Master of Arts Degree in History from the University of Ibadan (2018). She is a research fellow of the French Institute for Research in Africa (IFRA) and a member of the Historical Society of Nigeria, as well as the Lagos Studies Association. She worked as a volunteer at the Human Rights and Conflict Resolution Center (HRCC), Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Nigeria, and at the Women Research and Documentation Center (WORDOC), Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Her research interests are in African History, Development Studies, Education, Gender Studies, International Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies. She has some publications, papers under review and many working papers in her field of interest.

 

Chimere Okechukwu Iheonu

Chimere Iheonu works as a research assistant. He has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Imo State University, Owerri; he earned his Masters’ degree with distinction in Economics at the University of Lagos, Akoka and is currently a PhD student in Economics at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Chimere also has a certificate in Trade and Poverty Analysis from the United Nations Virtual Institute. His research interest is in Political Economy, Economic Development and Panel Data Econometrics.

 

 Onochie Nnadozie Anyanwu    

 

 Onochie, a research assistant, obtained his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) Degree in Pollution Control from the Department of Environmental Technology, Federal University of Technology Owerri, Imo State in 2009. He further proceeded to University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus where he earned his Master of Science (M.Sc) in Environmental Management and Control at the UNN-Shell Centre for Environmental Management and Control in 2015 and has currently applied for a PhD program in Disaster and Risk Management in the same Centre. Onochie has research interest in Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation, Sustainable Development, Good Governance and Disaster and Risk Management. In view of these, he is committed in making a global impact in these fields of Research.
